RIDGE Company for Engineering Design is founded by Eng. Tarek Abou El-wafa, collaborating with international stakeholders such as the World Bank, Deltares, and IWMI with total projects of 125, including 4 mega projects, focused on flood protection, stormwater management, and water infrastructure across the Middle East, Africa, and beyond.
RIDGE reflects the commitment to delivering sustainable, innovative solutions for complex water challenges and advancing resilience in the field. The company has three departments: RIDGE Consultants, RIDGE Labs (which focused on BIM Developments and Engineering Softwares) and RIDGE Value Engineering.
Tarek Hamouda is an expert in hydrology, hydraulic modeling, flood risk management, computational hydrology, GIS analysis, and value engineering. With a Master’s degree in Hydroinformatics from IHE Delft in the Netherlands.
His work includes hydrology/hydraulic consultations, infrastructure design, developing specialized software applications with integrating optimization and machine learning to enhance accuracy and efficiency of hydraulic and hydrologic models. As a certified value
engineering expert, he applies structured methodologies to
optimize stormwater and flood protection projects.
